From 2001-2021, the Stowe Weekend of Hope offered educational and inspirational opportunities for people experiencing cancer, cancer survivors, caregivers and families. Since its inception, the event grew locally, nationally and virtually, featuring providers in both traditional and nontraditional cancer treatments and therapies. Attendees gathered with members of the medical and wellness communities in order to further their understanding of the disease affecting their lives.

Throughout the weekend, leading oncologists and researchers from Vermont and New England presented free lectures and seminars on the latest findings on cancer prevention and treatment. The weekend also offered supportive mechanisms for healing, comfort, spiritual enlightenment, and communion.

2021 was the final and 21st annual Stowe Weekend of Hope, and the second virtual event.

Traditionally, the goal of the Stowe Weekend of Hope was to provide a low- or no-cost weekend retreat with access to education, healing, and support in Stowe, Vermont. We endeavored to provide a similar experience of education, connection and healing in a safe, virtual format as we all navigated the global pandemic.

The Stowe Weekend of Hope is closing in 2024, and our remaining funds will be donated to nonprofit organizations we believe support people touched by cancer in ways that reflect our mission of hope and healing.
