Founded in 2001, the Stowe Weekend of Hope offers educational and inspirational opportunities for people experiencing cancer, cancer survivors, caregivers and families. Since its inception, the event has grown locally, nationally and virtually, featuring providers in both traditional and nontraditional cancer treatments and therapies. Attendees gather with members of the medical community and wellness communities in order to further their understanding of the disease affecting their lives.
Throughout the weekend, leading oncologists and researchers from Vermont and New England present free lectures and seminars on the latest findings on cancer prevention and treatment. The weekend also offers supportive mechanisms for healing, comfort, spiritual enlightenment, and communion. 2021 was the 21st annual Stowe Weekend of Hope, our second virtual event. Traditionally, the goal of the Stowe Weekend of Hope has been to provide a low- or no-cost weekend retreat with access to education, healing, and support in Stowe, Vermont. Today, we strive to provide a similar experience of education, connection and healing in a safe, virtual format as we all navigate the global pandemic. We invite our past, current and future participants to stay connected to our community - watch our videos on YouTube, visit us on Facebook and Instagram, and sign up for our email list to get the latest news on the Stowe Weekend of Hope 2023 and beyond! |
